what a sat'day

Arsenal 2- Birmingham 2

Ok, so something unfortunate happened. Eduardo totally broke his leg. Like it's gone, totally broken. Any of you who are brave enough to see what actually happened,

Eduardo Injury!!

I don't want to say too much, but that's his bone sticking out!(in the link I gave you, not in those pictures)

I just can't imagine the pain he went through. It was just so nasty.

So, it was unfortunate that the mis-timing of the tackle and the slightest of all contact resulted in the most horrific accident in a few years, but then again getting into this business as a professional, things do happen.

& now I come to my next point. For Arsene Wenger to say:

"I think this guy should never play football again. What is he doing on a football pitch?!"

"it was so bad, they got to cover him up..."

Well firstly, people don't get on the pitch with the intention to break the opponent's leg. & I'm sure Taylor, even at his meanest, won't have that kind of intention.

Secondly, for any of you who got the chance to see the replay or whatever, it was almost (if not for the injury) a sleek and clean tackle that happens every other second of any game. & it was "partly" Eduardo to blame for he planted his foot on the ground when other players would have reacted by moving. ("as seen from the first picture")

Thirdly, I've seen worse tackles. Roy Keane, Cantona, Zidane, Argentine players who tackle like they were born on the pitch to do it and it's fortunate for them that nothing happened to the victim. & these are people who do it with intention. Even at the same match yesterday, Adebayor was lunging towards the goalkeeper a few times.

& again, with a bad intention!

So what. These players are those who might just be doing it again and again and one like Taylor is the kind who just caused the most unfortunate accident of his life, probably the only one. But to claim that Taylor have no right to play because of this, is totally outrageous!

It just shows immaturity on Wenger's side now, doesn't it? After saying such a thing, he can go on to say about how "these" teams needed to do such a thing to "stop" Arsenal. That's their only way. Come on, it was what...3 minutes into the game? Then explain, drawing to a 10-men team?

Ok so the tackle's outrageous. It was bad. Something should be done. Then explain the same kind of tackle, more than 3 times done by Arsenal players towards Man Utd players last Sunday? The only difference, no broken limbs. How do you explain that? Just because no one gets injured doesn't mean the tackles are every bit acceptable, is it?

The final conclusion is just that, Arsene Wenger is a sore loser. He has 20/20 dug out vision when it comes from opposing players but when it comes from his set of players, he just don't seem to see it. Tackles from last Sunday towards Nani from Hoyte, Flamini, Gallas that apparently happened in front of his dugout.
Double standards? You ask me....
For a manager of his stature, he should be well above that.

To say the player did it deliberately. There’s absolutely no way. No player goes out to break someone else’s leg. For someone who have played football, they’ll know that they’d want to go out to beat them but you’re not going to do such a nasty thing. & to say he should never play again is just stupid. I know it was a dreadful tackle. It’s such a pity to see Eduardo in that state. He might just break the record for being my favourite Arsenal player for his innocent appearance and his humbleness (so far). oh no, there was henry! As I’ve said before, the Birmingham city Goalkeeper was treated with such unfairness and no, he was never protected. Did anyone talk about it, no. But it’s just as though when an Arsenal player is brought down, they stay down for as long as they can to get a yellow card and hopefully a red. well...

GET WELL SOON EDUARDO!

Unfortunately, Arsene Wenger's an asshole. After all that, he's got the cheek to apologize. & what the hell was Gallas doing? What was he acting all distraught all for. Well, I understand that we're going to overtake but you're the captain, for God's sake! That was a really pathetic reaction, acting like a spoilt kid. Like Spoony said, if you were in a school team, you;d be taken out of the squad for a whole term, atleast.

anyway, I don't know. I sprained my ankle twice in a few months and I'm as good as paralysed! (well, plus the fact I'm lazy) Just wondering how long he's going to take to recover. Reminds me of Alan Smith's times...

Not being sadistic but,
